People seem to think that the masses are outside the Christian church because our evangelistic methods are not what they ought to be. That is not the answer. People are outside the church because looking at us they say, "What is the point of being Christians? - look at them!" They are judging Christ by you and me. And you cannot stop them and you cannot blame them.- Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Beware of prosperity, it can dull the heart. It makes us believe we are self reliant, that we don't need God. It fools us into thinking we can stand on our own. Trials, persecutions hurts and pain remind us that we sit in the master's hands. They drive us to our knees and into God's throne room. Let us rejoice in our pains and remember we are His children!

"It costs something to be a true Christian. Let that NEVER be forgotten. To be a mere nominal Christian, and go to church, is cheap and easy work. Ryle

If you're suffering, it's not for nothing..

Romans 5:3-5
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
